Asuka Mirai High Schools Launch New Business Challenge Course to Empower Students' Entrepreneurial Skills

Empowering Future Entrepreneurs at Asuka Mirai High Schools

In a bid to prepare students for real-world challenges, Asuka Mirai High Schools, operated by Sanko Gakuen, launched the "Business Challenge Course" in June 2025. This innovative program is designed to help students develop their abilities in discovering and providing solutions to societal issues by converting ideas into viable business projects. This initiative is in collaboration with RePlayce, a company renowned for its strengths in entrepreneurial education through its HR High School network in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Inaugural Presentation: The First Soulful Final Presentation

On July 28, 2025, the inaugural results presentation was held at the NTT Docomo Yoyogi No. 2 Building in Shibuya, Tokyo. Students presented unique business ideas aimed at solving social issues, demonstrating the rigorous research and discussions that underpinned their projects. One theme presented was "A Society Not Measured by Scores." A student, who felt an aversion to the conventional metrics of measuring individuals by scores since middle school, undertook interviews with parents and high school students. This research led to a proposal for creating a community that can discuss diverse values and choices beyond academic success.

During the Q&A session, this student delivered a compelling response about what sparked their questioning mindset, backed by personal experiences that resonated with the audience.

Another noteworthy theme was "View Adjust: A World Without 'Invisible' Issues." Here, students researched and interviewed individuals who face various visual impairments, such as myopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia. From their findings, they proposed a new type of adjustable glasses that can be fine-tuned according to different scenarios. The student passionately articulated their desire to alleviate inconveniences faced while driving or engaging in sports, earning commendations from judges, who remarked on the exceptional insight.

Kensuke Shinoda, the Director at HR High School and one of the judges, expressed his admiration, stating, "When you turn your thoughts into a tangible form and convey them to others, that's where the challenge begins. This presentation holds immense value," encourages students to continue their courageous explorations.

Upcoming: Career Exploration Course Launch in October

In addition to the Business Challenge Course, another exciting initiative titled the "Career Exploration Course" is expected to launch in October 2025. This program will further foster career development by offering experiences that help students discover themselves, understand the world around them, and connect with society. It will also feature entrepreneurship classes tailored for students at Asuka Mirai High Schools, providing a unique learning opportunity.

The course will have both online and offline options, utilizing facilities in the Ikebukuro area for in-person sessions. The Career Exploration Course aims to support a variety of future paths and provide students with the tools to actively shape their destinies.

Looking Ahead

Asuka Mirai High Schools maintain their commitment to the motto, "Your dreams and your true self will surely succeed." They continue to stand by each student's challenge, expanding opportunities for practical learning and career education. By encouraging students to identify their questions, think critically with peers, and take steps towards their future, they are devoted to delivering support along the journey to achieving dreams.
