PackGene's Advances in AAV Manufacturing Highlighted at the Cell & Gene Meeting

PackGene's Advancements in AAV Manufacturing

PackGene Biotech recently made headlines at the Cell & Gene Meeting on the Mesa by unveiling its state-of-the-art AAV (Adeno-Associated Virus) manufacturing projects. These initiatives were facilitated through the Dyno Frontiers Network and are crucial for the development of gene therapy programs utilizing Dyno Therapeutics' innovative capsids.

The announcement emphasizes PackGene's successful use of its proprietary π-Alpha 293 AAV Platform, which has allowed the company to fabricate high-quality AAV particles critical for preclinical studies involving large animal models. Notably, the organization achieved seamless production across five distinct Dyno capsids, underscoring its reliability and scalability in the manufacturing process. This extensive capability is imperative as it aligns with the increasing demand for efficient gene therapy production.

Throughout the year, PackGene integrated itself into the Dyno Frontiers Network, an ecosystem specifically designed to enhance collaboration among gene therapy developers who leverage advanced capsid technology. The collaboration entails meticulous evaluation of manufacturing platforms that can process up to 10L scale production across two different transgene payloads. This means substantial progress can be made in terms of translating innovative capsids into effective patient solutions.
