New Update and Event for Sonic Racing: Cross Worlds

Sega is thrilled to announce a major free update for its popular game, Sonic Racing: Cross Worlds, featuring the iconic character Majima Goro, also known as Captain Majima from the beloved Yakuza series. This exciting update will be available starting on April 30, 2026. Alongside this update, a special collaboration event titled Yakuza Captain Majima Fest will kick off on May 1, allowing players to dive into a range of festive racing activities!

Update Details

The free update will introduce:

• - New Racer: Majima Goro (Captain Majima) joins the pack with his signature Goro Maru racing machine.
• - New Music: Enjoy four classic tracks from the Yakuza series in the game’s jukebox, enhancing the racing experience with unforgettable tunes. Players can customize their in-game BGM during races.

• - Receive You The Hyperactive
• - Receive You The Hyperactive (for Final Lap)
• - Mad Dog (not available for in-race BGM setting)

Limited-Time Event: Yakuza Captain Majima Fest

From May 1 to May 4, 2026, players can participate in the Yakuza Captain Majima Fest, a special event that allows players to race in teams and compete for points. This lively online race features unique rules for each fest, including challenges based on the number of touch dashes. As players accumulate fest points, they can unlock exclusive in-game items such as stickers and horns to customize their machines!
