CME Group Foundation Granting Scholarships to Empower First-Generation College Students

CME Group Foundation Awards Scholarships to Illinois Students

The CME Group Foundation has recently disclosed its commitment to support higher education by granting $360,000 in scholarships to 18 talented, low-income, first-generation college students in Illinois. Each student will receive a scholarship worth up to $20,000, available for renewal over a three-year period, demonstrating the foundation's dedication to fostering educational opportunities in essential fields such as finance and technology.

Since the inception of this scholarship program in 2019, the CME Group Foundation has distributed more than $4.3 million in scholarships, benefiting 123 students attending 12 partner colleges and universities across the United States. This initiative not only helps deserving students afford their education but also aims to create a skilled workforce ready to tackle future challenges in vital sectors.

Supporting the Next Generation of Professionals

CME Group's Chairman and CEO, Terry Duffy, expressed his pride in this year's scholarship recipients, praising their commitment and hard work. “We are honored to support students in Illinois as they pursue their degrees,” Duffy stated. He emphasized that investing in these scholars aligns with the foundation's mission to prepare future industry leaders who can thrive in finance and tech-related fields.
