The highlight of the 2026 awards was the grand prize, amounting to $3,500, awarded to Margaret McNutt from ROAR Florida and Noah's Ark of Central Florida. Over her 30-year journey of advocacy, McNutt has been a powerful voice for families and individuals with developmental disabilities. Her personal experience began when her son, Jared, was diagnosed, prompting her to raise critical questions many parents face: What will happen to our children after we can no longer care for them?

In response to this pressing concern, McNutt was instrumental in founding Noah's Ark of Central Florida in 1998. This establishment arose from her extensive research into residential communities designed specifically for adults with developmental disabilities across the United States. McNutt envisioned not merely housing but a vibrant community where these individuals could thrive, fostering independence, social connections, ongoing education, and employment opportunities.

Since its inception, The Villages at Noah's Landing, a 56-acre community established by McNutt’s vision, has welcomed 126 residents since 2016. It serves as a holistic environment for independent living, learning, recreation, and social interaction. Additionally, McNutt dedicates her time volunteering as a coach for adaptive sports, leads weekly yoga classes, and actively engages residents in community events.

Dobrowolski has been an active contributor to Team Foster since 2022, spearheading fundraising efforts and participating in events like the PHL Ruff Ride—a 24-hour stationary cycling fundraiser. In 2025, she completed the entire 24-hour cycle, earning accolades as the top individual fundraiser. She continued her dedication in 2026 by participating in the NYC Ruff Ride and planning another solo 24-hour ride for 2027.

The title of second runner-up went to Kadi Mancuso Rice, Vice President of Leasing and Marketing at Tailwind Group, who received $1,000 for her fundraising endeavors that help children and families affected by pediatric cancer and epilepsy. Rice's journey in charitable giving began with the Indiana University Dance Marathon and expanded to more significant efforts, completing seven marathons globally to raise funds and awareness. Now, she co-chairs the Danny Did Foundation's annual Evening of Hearts & Hugs, which focuses on epilepsy awareness, seizure-detection technology access, and support for affected families.
