Camp Invention 2025: Igniting the Spark of Innovation
For over 35 years, Camp Invention has been a beacon of creativity for children, inspiring them to build their confidence and enhance their problem-solving abilities through engaging, hands-on STEM experiences. This year, the program continues to foster a love for innovation with a unique curriculum designed for young minds eager to explore their potential.
A World of Hands-On Learning
From constructing their own claw machines to learning Morse code, participants in Camp Invention 2025 dive into a thrilling world filled with innovative activities. The program promotes not just STEM education but also leadership and entrepreneurship in a playful, interactive environment.
A proud parent of a 2024 camper shared, "My son recently attended Camp Invention, and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience for him. The camp's focus on creativity, problem solving, and innovation truly sparked his curiosity and imagination." Such feedback highlights the program’s success in nurturing young inventors!
Curriculum Highlights
This year's theme, aptly named "Discover," encourages children to trust in their ideas and explore their creative sides through various hands-on activities:
- - In Control™: Campers embark on an exciting road trip, learning about control panels and artificial intelligence while creating their very own bobblehead assistant. This activity emphasizes the importance of innovation as they navigate through various challenges on their journey.
- - Illusion Workshop™: Kids step into the enchanting world of illusions and learn the tech tricks used in theme parks and movies. Here, they turn their designs into reality by building an animation device that brings their drawings to life, blending art and technology seamlessly.
- - Claw Arcade™: By using cardboard materials, campers construct their very own claw arcade machines, which serves as a fun introduction to physics. This hands-on discovery allows them to understand the science behind claw machines in an interactive way.
- - Penguin Launch™: An expedition to study penguins in Antarctica motivates children to connect their learning experiences with the broader themes of environmental science. They help propel their research penguin, "Pengy," across the South Pole as they explore the connections between technology and scientific exploration.
