Tenchijin Welcomes Ayako Kimura as New Director and CFO
Tenchijin Inc., a Tokyo-based space venture certified by JAXA, has announced the appointment of Ayako Kimura as Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) beginning May 30, 2025. This strategic move aims to bolster the company's management structure and support its ongoing expansion.

Introducing Ayako Kimura
With a proven track record, Ayako Kimura has played a pivotal role in project management and budget oversight during her tenure as Executive Officer and Chief Office Manager. Her deep-rooted involvement with Tenchijin since its early days positions her uniquely to contribute to the firm’s goals of enhancing value and achieving long-term growth as she takes on her new role. In her statement regarding her appointment, Kimura expressed her gratitude and commitment, emphasizing the importance of utilizing her experience for the sustained success of the company.

Kimura's Background
Ayako Kimura holds a Ph.D. in Engineering, specializing in fluid mechanics, which she pursued during her time at university and graduate school. She joined Mitsubishi Research Institute in 2009, where she conducted research on transportation policies for government agencies and supported private companies with new product development in the automotive and ITS fields, alongside consulting for their overseas expansions.
In 2017, she transitioned to Data Strategy Inc., where she served as a project manager, working alongside JAXA on maximizing the potential of data generated from drones. Kimura brought her extensive expertise to Tenchijin in December 2019, where she has been instrumental in advancing research and development initiatives.
