Building Corporate Value Through Integrated Reporting: A New ESG Program at Obirin University

Enhancing Corporate Value Through ESG Education at Obirin University

Obirin University is set to launch the second phase of its ESG and Sustainability Practitioner Training Program this September. This new initiative focuses on integrating financial and non-financial factors in corporate assessment, thereby enhancing corporate value through effective integrated reporting.

Learning Objectives

The program aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to understand how to connect non-financial metrics with financial performance. By focusing on strategic communication and actions tailored to attract investors and stakeholders, participants will gain insights necessary for becoming competitive and sustainable organizations. Also, they will learn to design and implement integrated business, financial, and sustainability strategies that drive their companies forward.

Who Should Participate?

This program is designed for professionals involved in corporate planning, investor relations (IR), sustainability, public relations, and human resources within companies. It is also suitable for financial institutions, investors, analysts interested in corporate value enhancement, and emerging leaders aiming to practice integrated thinking in management. Moreover, it targets regional financial institutions, local governments, and nonprofits looking to balance social and financial value.

Benefits of Participation

Participants will gain a practical framework for enhancing corporate value through various models, such as DCF (Discounted Cash Flow), ROIC (Return on Invested Capital) tree, and Impact Path methodologies. They will learn to explain profitability, growth, and risk reduction in an integrated approach, resulting in lower capital costs for their organizations.

Furthermore, attendees will understand how to leverage intangible assets and human capital as drivers of corporate value. The program will also foster better communication with investors and help establish a company that appeals to long-term investors. Upon completion, each participant will finalize their unique "corporate value enhancement story," which can be directly applied in the workplace.
