Shibaura Torimachi: A New Dining Experience in Tokyo's Bay Area
Opening December 1, 2025
The renowned yakitori brand, Torimachi, established by the master chef Yoshiteru Ikegawa, is set to launch its third location,
Shibaura Torimachi, in the Bay Area of Shibaura, Tokyo. Following the success of its predecessors in Nakameguro and Harajuku, this new establishment aims to make yakitori culture more accessible and enjoyable for both locals and visitors alike.
Concept and Menu: Japanese Culinary Treasures at Riverside
Torimachi prides itself on bringing the essence of traditional yakitori to the modern dining scene. This new location will feature the “three sacred treasures” of its menu: yakitori, nimono (simmered dishes), and kamameshi (Japanese rice dish prepared in an iron pot). Situated alongside the riverside, Shibaura Torimachi promises a unique dining ambiance where guests can enjoy delectable Japanese food while surrounded by nature and urban life.
The expertise in grilling aligns with the DNA of the Ikegawa legacy, employing the technique of “near-fire strong heat” to produce yakitori that bursts with flavorful aromas. Signature dishes like nimono, made with flavorful hatcho miso, and kamameshi offer a true taste of Japan, alongside a variety of creative side dishes to complement your meal.
Not to be missed, the drink menu features refreshing cocktails such as the beloved “Gorogoro Lemon Sour” and a selection of fine sake sourced from across Japan, ensuring a comprehensive dining experience.
Space: Relaxed and Engaging Yakitori Experience
The restaurant features a spacious and inviting interior with an open kitchen and a large counter that seats 42 guests, providing a front-row seat to the grilling action. Additionally, 14 terrace seats allow diners to enjoy their meals with a picturesque riverside view, perfect for spending quality time with friends or loved ones.
