MiTAC Computing Unveils Innovative Solutions at OCP EMEA 2026

MiTAC Computing Technology, a global leader in high-performance server solutions and a subsidiary of MiTAC Holdings Corporation, is making waves at the OCP EMEA 2026 summit in Barcelona. This year, they are showcasing an impressive lineup of cutting-edge technologies including liquid-cooled servers and robust software integration aimed at enhancing data center efficiency and sustainability.

The OCP EMEA summit, held from April 29 to 30, 2026, at the International Convention Centre in Barcelona, serves as a gathering ground for innovators and thought leaders in the open computing community. MiTAC, positioned at booth A21, is set to provide a firsthand look at its latest innovations that are redefining thermal design and data management in high-performance computing environments.

Advancements in Liquid-Cooled Servers

One of the highlights of MiTAC's presentation is the introduction of two new servers: the C2810Z5 and C2811Z5.

C2810Z5 Overview

The C2810Z5, launched in 2025, is a 2U, dual-node server featuring a single socket design equipped with AMD EPYC™ 9005 processors. This model is tailored for flexibility, supporting NVMe E3.S and U.2 configurations. Its optimized thermal design positions it as a go-to solution for microservices and cloud environments, paving the way for a more sustainable computing architecture.

C2811Z5 Features

The C2811Z5, on the other hand, is a high-density multi-node server that utilizes advanced liquid cooling technology. Each node is also powered by AMD EPYC™ processors, featuring expandable DDR5 memory. This design not only enhances energy efficiency but also ensures reliable performance under demanding workloads, making it a formidable choice for organizations aiming to optimize energy usage without compromising on speed or reliability.

Open Ecosystem and Software Integration

MiTAC Computing is committed to fostering an open ecosystem, which is evident in its new partnership with Canonical to integrate Ubuntu 26.04 LTS across its AI hardware portfolio. This integration promotes better transparency and flexibility in data center management, allowing for scalable solutions that serve the needs of modern enterprises.

At the event, attendees can witness live demonstrations of MiTAC’s open-source firmware solutions such as MiOPF (a BIOS solution based on EDK2) and MiOBMC, which is tailored for advanced IT settings. Both solutions are fully compliant with DMTF Redfish standards, allowing for scalable management of large AI clusters and enhanced data center security.

Platforms Inspired by OCP

MiTAC’s commitment to innovation extends to its new offerings inspired by the Open Compute Project (OCP). Among these are the MiTAC Capri server and the JBOD Lake Erie system, both of which are designed for software-defined storage and cloud environments. These modular systems provide scalable expansion capabilities, making them ideal for hyper-scale data center deployments.

Additionally, the MiTAC R2520G6 server makes an appearance, boasting dual Intel® Xeon® 6 processors and ample support for up to 32 DDR5-6400 RDIMM modules. Its architecture, built on OCP principles, allows for high bandwidth networking, management, and I/O, ensuring compatibility and performance that meets the ever-evolving demands of data centers today.

Invitation to Collaborate

MiTAC invites industry professionals to visit their booth A21 to explore these innovations and discuss how collaborative open designs can lead to more efficient and scalable cloud infrastructures. Furthermore, in partnership with Murata, MiTAC will also showcase OCP-ready servers at booth B21, reinforcing its dedication to providing advanced technology solutions that align with contemporary energy and efficiency standards.
