Introducing the AXKID One+3: Japan's First Child Safety Seat for Rearward Use from Newborn to 7 Years Old

AXKID One+3: Pioneering Child Safety in Japan

AXKID JAPAN, the comprehensive child seat research company based in Tokyo, has unveiled a new milestone in child safety technology with the launch of the AXKID One+3. This innovative ISOFIX child seat not only allows for rearward seating from newborns up to 7 years of age, but also provides unparalleled safety features that set it apart in the market. Starting April 14, this unique product will be available for pre-order on the crowdfunding platform Makuake.

The Safety Advantage of Rearward Seating

Research shows that rearward-facing seats are five times safer compared to forward-facing alternatives, especially in the event of a frontal collision. During such accidents, children are at a higher risk due to their proportionally larger heads and underdeveloped muscles and bones. The AXKID One+3 effectively absorbs impact across the entire seat, significantly reducing the strain on a child’s neck and providing enhanced protection during risky scenarios.

The child seat has successfully passed the renowned Plus Test, a rigorous evaluation that assesses the forces exerted on a child’s neck during a collision. This test sets well-defined standards for neck stress, ensuring that the One+3 is designed with the utmost focus on safeguarding a child's vulnerable neck.

Exceptional Test Ratings

On top of its design and safety features, the One+3 has received high praise in multiple tests. Notably, it achieved excellent ratings during crash tests conducted by BMW, utilizing actual vehicles. Furthermore, the ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club), Europe’s most esteemed automobile club, has recognized the seat in their child seat tests, securing top marks in its category.

Innovative Features for Comfort and Space

The AXKID One+3 boasts an impressive slide-in leg space feature known as Space Flow™, offering the most spacious foot room available in the market. This allows parents to adjust the seating as their child grows, ensuring comfort from infancy to age seven. Coupled with the Sleep Well™ reclining mechanism, parents can easily adjust the seat with one hand, allowing their child to rest comfortably in a natural sleeping position.

Durability Meets Safety

Crafted with a high-strength steel framework termed Pro Tec Frame™, the One+3 can withstand up to 1500 kg of impact, making it one of the most robust seats in its class. This design principle underlies AXKID’s commitment to providing maximum protection for children, irrespective of the situation faced during travel.

AXKID embodies this safety philosophy in its products, adapting to rigorous European safety standards while opening doors to advanced testing protocols that ensure long-lasting protection for children as they grow.

As awareness about child seat safety rises in Japan, AXKID introduces a new paradigm, representing essential safety values for parents.
