This opening session features Takashi Ikegami, a leading researcher in artificial life, and Masahiko Inami, an expert in body enhancement technology. They will explore profound inquiries such as "What is life?" and "To what extent can the human body be enhanced?" against the backdrop of Sorayama's work, which blurs the lines between robotics and humanity.

Takashi Ikegami is the director of the AISAC center at Atomi University and has consistently focused on life as a dynamic system through various interdisciplinary approaches, including artificial life and humanoid robotics.
