Parents and Children Invited to Submit Unique Side Business Ideas in Contest

4th Parent-Child Side Business Idea Contest Now Open for Entries

Babylonia Corporation, led by CEO Takuya Noda, is excited to announce the opening of applications for the 4th installment of the 'Parent-Child Side Business Idea Contest'. This contest is designed specifically for families with children from first grade through senior high school, aiming to inspire creative business ideas that can be enjoyed together.

As Japan faces challenges from an aging population and declining birth rates, it's essential for children to develop skills that allow them to navigate and contribute to society. Through engaging in side business activities, children can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of money and life while discovering their own strengths and interests. In this context, the role of parents—who are the nearest adults—becomes vital in teaching these concepts in a fun and approachable manner.

A Growing Legacy

The contest has steadily gained recognition since its inception. The first contest was featured on Fuji TV's 'Nonstop!', raising awareness of parent-child collaborations. The second set its spotlight with TV personality Moe Fukuda serving as a judge and popular announcer Sachi Yasuda as the host. By the third contest last year, support from the city of Mitaka, where Babylonia is headquartered, was secured, and Mitaka Mayor Takashi Kawamura even provided encouraging comments. With each passing year, the contest has garnered more attention and participation.
