The event begins with a 35mm special screening of
Hokusai Manga, which unravels the life of Katsushika Hokusai, a renowned painter (1760-1849), and his daughter O-Ei, alongside a visual journey into the rich tapestry of their collaborations and their ties with influential figures like Takizawa Bakin. Following the film screening, there will be an enlightening talk event featuring prominent figures in the art world. Uraichi Mitsuru, curator of the Shinjuku Kabukicho Spring Picture Exhibit WA, and Tezuka Maki, the exhibit's planner, will delve into Hokusai's allure and the exhibition's highlights.
