EZVIZ Launches Green Initiative with a Week-Long Campaign for a Sustainable Coexistence with Nature

EZVIZ Expands Its Green Initiative for a Better Tomorrow

EZVIZ, a prominent player in the smart home technology market, has announced an enhancement of its Green Initiative aimed at fostering a sustainable coexistence of humans and nature. This initiative is launched in line with World Environment Day and World Oceans Day, focusing on collaborative actions that engage both partners and users in impactful environmental solutions.

Under the theme “Clean. Preserve. Coexist,” this week-long campaign marks a significant step in EZVIZ’s commitment to ecological vitality, benefiting both people and living creatures. Joanne Cao, the Secretary of the Board and Head of the ESG Committee at EZVIZ, stated, “In this new phase, EZVIZ Green focuses on ecological vitality that benefits both people and all living beings.” The company emphasizes its partnerships with Treedom, a global leader in tree planting, and Plastic Bank, an innovator in ocean protection, to better engage local communities in balancing environmental preservation with economic benefits. This initiative reflects the UN’s call to restore the relationship between humanity and the planet.

EZVIZ aims to create a positive loop where people can thrive in a vibrant ecosystem. The firm is focused on making substantial contributions towards a sustainable future, aligning its efforts with the UN Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). According to Cao, “Just as humans, all living beings are stakeholders of this planet. With our Green Initiative, we intend to foster healthy ecosystems where nature and humans complement each other.”

The EZVIZ Green Program is driving change from land to sea through strategic partnerships with Treedom and Plastic Bank. In collaboration with Treedom, EZVIZ supports local farmers in planting trees, integrating agriculture with forestry across eleven countries. It is estimated that this reforestation effort will save over 738.2 tons of CO2 over the next decade. By 2027, the global forest inventory is expected to exceed 6,000 trees, further improving food security and economic development. This year, the reforestation efforts will expand to additional regions in Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa, particularly focusing on ecologically significant areas such as Ecuador to mitigate climate change.

With the help of Plastic Bank, EZVIZ contributes to tackling plastic pollution by enabling collectors around the world to gather bottles, thus creating additional income opportunities. So far, this initiative has led to the recycling of one million bottles, the prevention of 20,000 kg of plastic from entering waterways, and the support of collectors from 29 communities through various social benefits. This year, EZVIZ is particularly focusing on Southeast Asia, which is home to one of the world's longest coastal archipelagos, to implement a more careful and systematic approach to plastic recycling, thereby promoting marine biodiversity and economic stability.

In conjunction with external partnerships, EZVIZ is integrating internal processes to enhance its impact. The company is committed to eco-friendly innovation, releasing the new 4G battery-powered camera family that minimizes energy consumption without compromising security. Ongoing innovation efforts to improve wildlife detection are also in progress, providing enhanced protection for users and wildlife in remote areas.

As EZVIZ embarks on this ambitious journey towards sustainability, it embodies a profound level of commitment to both the planet and its inhabitants, inspiring others to take part in preserving our shared environment. This campaign sets a strong precedent for how corporations can integrate environmental advocacy into their core mission, lighting the way for future initiatives that harmonize technology and nature effectively.
