Luup, headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo and led by CEO Daiki Okai, has announced its selection as the official mobility partner for the upcoming "Osaka Art & Design 2026" festival, taking place from May 27 to June 23, 2026. This partnership aims to improve the transportation experience for festival attendees traveling across various artistic venues.
Luup's mission is to create infrastructure that transforms urban environments into seamless transportation hubs, addressing mobility challenges across Japan. With over 17,300 ports established in 21 prefectures and beyond, the micro-mobility service, known as "LUUP," facilitates everyday commuting, shopping, and sightseeing. The Osaka Art & Design 2026 (OAD2026) festival will feature an extensive array of art and design installations spread throughout the city—from Umeda to Nakanoshima, Honmachi to Shinsaibashi, and Namba to Abeno. With Luup's services, visitors will be able to navigate these diverse artistic intersections more easily and joyfully, enhancing their overall experience. For instance, the estimated travel time from Umeda to the National Museum of Art, Osaka is only around seven minutes using LUUP. While this distance may be a bit lengthy for walking, users will enjoy a swift journey, immersing themselves in the vibrancy of the city.
