Mazda Teams Up with DonorsChoose to Inspire STEM Learning for Students This Holiday Season

Mazda Partners with DonorsChoose for STEM Education

In a heartwarming move for Giving Tuesday, Mazda North American Operations has announced a generous initiative in partnership with the nonprofit organization DonorsChoose. This holiday season, the automotive company will invest $250,000 to support students and educators across the United States, specifically focusing on enhancing projects in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

This initiative is part of Mazda's broader community engagement program known as Mazda Be Moved, aimed at creating opportunities that drive community progress. Starting from December 1, Mazda will launch an immediate funding pool of $100,000 specifically designed to address project requests in the STEM fields within schools located in Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Boston-Manchester.

From December 3 onward, until the end of the holiday season, the company will match an additional $150,000 in donations for teacher-led STEM projects submitted to DonorsChoose nationwide. This matching effort effectively doubles the impact of each contribution, encouraging broader community support for educational endeavors. The strategic focus of this initiative reinforces the mission of the Be Moved program, which aims to foster dynamic learning environments and inspire the next generation of innovators.

Brad Audet, Marketing Director at Mazda North American Operations, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration: "After witnessing the impact and joy these donations brought to students and educators last season, we were thrilled to partner with DonorsChoose again this year. By supporting STEM projects, we’re investing in the future of young learners, helping them discover their passions and develop the skills necessary to innovate and thrive."

This marks the second consecutive year Mazda has joined forces with DonorsChoose for this charitable endeavor. In 2024, the company contributed $250,000 to schools nationwide, proving its commitment to educational support.

Adam Disler, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at DonorsChoose, underscored the importance of such contributions: "It’s an honor to partner with Mazda again this holiday season to bring essential resources to classrooms. Donations like these create incredible opportunities for teachers to carry out cutting-edge projects that might otherwise remain unattainable. By empowering students to engage in STEM projects, we are igniting their dreams and potential career paths."
