ABB Expands Domestic Supply through Collaboration with Japanese Manufacturers
In a significant move aimed at enhancing power distribution solutions within Japan, ABB has officially entered into a collaboration agreement with three local manufacturers: Shinsei Kogyo Co., Ltd., JRCS Co., Ltd., and Kobukudenki Co., Ltd. This strategic partnership not only builds on existing relationships but also aims to meet the surging demand for power distribution boards and panels in key growth sectors like semiconductor factories and data centers.
The urgency for high-capacity and visibility-compliant power distribution boards has increased, particularly as Japan continues to see a rise in construction needs tied to critical industries. Recognizing this demand, ABB intends to leverage this collaboration to offer flexible solutions tailored to the unique requirements of the Japanese market through its partnered domestic manufacturers.
Under this agreement, ABB will provide low-voltage distribution control equipment and components to these Japanese firms, who will take charge of technical support, manufacturing, assembly, and sales locally. Furthermore, ABB will furnish licenses for IEC-compliant power distribution boards, ensuring that these solutions meet both local and international standards.
Highlights of the Partnership
- - Local Expertise: Each partner brings a wealth of experience and technological competence that complements ABB's global expertise.
- - Technical Contribution: Shinsei Kogyo is known for its capabilities in designing, manufacturing, and selling system devices, backed by their extensive achievements in compliance with international standards.
- - Industry Impact: JRCS boasts a solid track record in designing and manufacturing power distribution control equipment for maritime applications and is now applying that expertise to various land-based industries.
- - Service Leadership: Kobukudenki focuses on custom electrical system solutions for data centers, providing comprehensive services from design to maintenance, thus addressing mission-critical power needs.
