On February 3, 2026, the music industry celebrated its brightest talents at the 68th Grammy Awards, where alumni from The Los Angeles Film School and The Los Angeles Recording School made an impressive mark. They contributed significantly to five nominated projects, culminating in a remarkable total of eight awards. Among these talented individuals, Hector Castro led the charge, bringing home his own Grammy win.

Hector Castro's Stellar Achievement

Hector Castro, who graduated in 2014 with a degree in Recording Arts, earned recognition for his role as an engineer on the song "luther" by renowned artists Kendrick Lamar and SZA. This track not only won the prestigious Record of the Year but also clinched the Best Melodic Rap Performance award. Castro's exceptional skills and dedication highlighted the level of talent nurtured at The L.A. Film School.
