Warrior Rising Announces the 2025 Saluting Her Service Business Shower in Washington, D.C.
On August 19, 2025, Warrior Rising, a dedicated nonprofit organization focused on empowering veterans and their families through entrepreneurship, proudly announced the upcoming
2025 Saluting Her Service Business Shower. This special event, designed specifically for female veterans and military spouses, will take place on
September 10, 2025, at the headquarters of J.P. Morgan Chase in Washington, D.C. The occasion will culminate in a live pitch competition held at the iconic Warner Theatre later that evening.
The Saluting Her Service event has become a cherished annual tradition that highlights the contributions of two often overlooked demographics within the veteran community: women veterans and military spouses. Although the number of women in the U.S. military continues to rise, their representation among business owners remains disproportionately low. To address this issue, Warrior Rising has created inclusive programs accessible to both veterans and their spouses, providing essential resources for launching successful enterprises.
Open to All and Free of Charge
As part of its mission to promote equitable access, Warrior Rising is offering
FREE general admission for the 2025 Saluting Her Service Business Shower. This initiative allows members of the D.C. community, aspiring entrepreneurs, and supporters from across the nation to witness firsthand the innovation and resilience present in veterans' businesses.
By eliminating entry costs, Warrior Rising emphasizes its commitment to transparency and inclusivity while facilitating easier access to entrepreneurial opportunities for veterans and their families.
A Culmination of Hard Work
The Business Shower represents the pinnacle of achievement within Warrior Rising's entrepreneurship pipeline. All participants stem from
Warrior Academy and
Warrior University, programs designed to guide service members and spouses through every stage of business planning—from idea conception to execution.
After months of intensive training, mentorship, and coaching, these participants will unveil their business concepts in front of an audience comprising business leaders, investors, and peers. They will compete for valuable grants ranging from
$2,000 to $100,000 to propel their ventures forward.
An exciting highlight of the evening will feature special guest
Zarna Garg, a comedian, entrepreneur, and inspirational figure who advocates for women paving their own paths. Her participation promises to add a vibrant atmosphere to the event, celebrating female entrepreneurs.
Collaboration with Industry Leaders
The success of the
2025 Saluting Her Service Business Shower is made possible through the generous contributions of various sponsors, including
J.P. Morgan Chase, Continuing to Serve, BDO, Excentium, RBCI, and
Coforma—a mission-driven design and technology firm. Together, these partners support Warrior Rising’s endeavor to minimize barriers for participants, cover travel and lodging expenses, and provide grants that directly enhance the capabilities of veteran-owned businesses.
Impact and Reach of Warrior Rising
Since its inception, Warrior Rising has disbursed over
$10 million in support to more than
35,000 veterans nationwide. In the year 2024 alone, the organization aided
2,823 Academy graduates, allocated over
$576,000 in cash grants, and organized five national Business Showers, ultimately funding
42 veteran-owned businesses.
Graduates of the Saluting Her Service initiative have gained national recognition and achieved remarkable success in the business world. For instance:
- - Thereasa Black, Founder of Bon Appesweet, expanded her clean dessert business to over 500 retail outlets across the country, achieving over $1 million in revenue.
- - Paden Sickles, Founder of SickFit, grew her performance sock brand into a $2 million international label.
- - Alex McLeod and Jay Long, Co-Founders of Parlay Finance, secured investments from major firms such as Google, Microsoft, and IBM following their victory at one of the Business Showers.
These success stories underscore how Warrior Rising's framework serves not just to educate but also to establish a launching ground for sustainable business success
