New Samurai Room Debuts in Asakusa Hotels
The Weird Hotels in Asakusa, managed by H.I.S. Hotel Holdings, has introduced an exciting new addition to its lineup: the Samurai Room. This venture is a collaborative effort with the centuries-old Yoshitoku doll company, known for its deep roots in Japanese tradition. Starting from June 27, this unique room concept marks the 64th addition to the already extensive variety of themed rooms offered by Weird Hotels.
The Samurai Room is not just a place to stay; it is a carefully curated experience that draws inspiration from Japan's rich cultural heritage. Designed by fresh graduates from H.I.S. Hotel Holdings, the room embodies the concept of local collaboration, aimed at enhancing the tourism industry while promoting Japanese traditions to both domestic and inbound guests. The room features ornate decorations, including armor replicas of Tokugawa Ieyasu, a significant figure in Japanese history, and artwork depicting the Battle of Sekigahara, a major historical event.
In addition to its aesthetic features, the Samurai Room has some interactive elements. Guests can explore beautiful curtain designs featuring family crests. Those who can identify the Tokugawa family crest hidden amongst the designs will receive a special gift: the “Sengoku Warlord Guardian Strap” from Yoshitoku. The rates for this immersive experience start at 22,600 yen per night with breakfast included, or 20,880 yen for a room-only option, with all taxes accounted for.
