Pokémon's First Permanent Outdoor Park 'PokePark Kanto' to Open in 2026

Introducing 'PokePark Kanto'

On February 5, 2026, the much-anticipated outdoor permanent facility, 'PokePark Kanto,' will open its gates at Yomiuri Land, marking a new chapter for Pokémon enthusiasts and families alike. This collaborative venture is brought to life through the combined efforts of Yomiuri Land Co., Ltd., Yomiuri Shimbun Tokyo Headquarters, and The Pokémon Company. Located in the lush Tama Hills, 'PokePark Kanto' encompasses an expansive area of approximately 2.6 hectares, designed to immerse visitors into the captivating world of Pokémon.

Two Unique Areas: Pokémon Forest and Kayatsuri Town

The park is divided into two distinct zones: the green and vibrant 'Pokémon Forest' and the activity-packed 'Kayatsuri Town.' Visitors can expect an adventure-filled exploration in Pokémon Forest, where winding paths, tunnels, and shrubbery create a dynamic landscape to traverse. Spanning about 500 meters, the walking trail allows guests to observe various Pokémon in their natural habitats. Some Pokémon even allow visitors to hop on their backs for a memorable experience. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer, the magic of Pokémon awaits around every corner.

In Kayatsuri Town, guests can enter a Pokémon Center, a beloved feature from the games where you can revive your Pokémon. The area is home to numerous shops where visitors can purchase exclusive merchandise and enjoy themed food and drinks. The excitement continues with attractions such as 'Pikachu's Paradise' featuring interactive experiences with Pikachu and friends, and 'Eevee's Voyage,' a delightful merry-go-round dedicated to the lovable Eevee.

Vibrant Events to Delight All Ages

Throughout the year, 'PokePark Kanto' will host a variety of events designed to thrill visitors from around the globe. Expect parades featuring Pikachu and Eevee, as well as stage shows at the 'Kayatsuri Gym' where fans can join in on the fun. Each event is designed to foster a sense of community and connection among fans, allowing everyone to share in the joy of Pokémon.
