Tamarack Resort: Thrilling RMSHA Snowmobile Racing Events Unleashed

Tamarack Resort: A Thrilling Showcase of Snowmobile Racing

Tamarack Resort in Idaho transformed into a snow-covered battleground as it hosted two consecutive weekends of the Rocky Mountain States Hill Climb Association (RMSHA) snowmobile races. Known for its picturesque landscapes and challenging terrains, Tamarack welcomed both elite racers and enthusiastic spectators for a high-octane display of skill and speed.

The event, held against the backdrop of Tamarack's 2,800 vertical feet of terrain, featured an exciting course that pushed competitors to their limits. Racers sped through a fast and technical track right below the Summit Express chairlift, adding an extra layer of engagement for those watching from above. This year, the thrill was accentuated by lift-served viewing for spectators, allowing them to witness the intense action from a prime location.

Among the standout performances were athletes like Tim Maki from Clark, Colorado, Wesley Selby from Grand Lake, Colorado, and Iyla Pearl Edwards from Ennis, Montana. The diverse range of racetrack classes showcased the depth of talent present, highlighting why this event is a pivotal stop on the RMSHA circuit. Additionally, local participants had the opportunity to join the competition, with Tamarack's own Ryan Heintzelman, who usually maintains the resort lifts, throwing his hat into the ring.

Kara Finley, the COO of Tamarack, commented on the event's atmosphere: “This event brings an incredible level of energy to the mountain. It's a great showcase of both elite competition and the unique spectator experience Tamarack offers.” Mid Mountain Lodge served as the hub for event activities, providing excellent food, beverages, live music, and an electrifying atmosphere where guests could soak in the race excitement.

As if the racing wasn’t enough, the weekend saw the continuation of this thrilling series, with the RMSHA returning for another round. The combination of the Professional and Amateur divisions, along with the inclusion of local racers, further emphasizes Tamarack’s commitment to making snowmobile racing accessible to all.

Next weekend promises even more with unique offerings such as a family-friendly brunch at The Reserve and a large Easter egg hunt, perfectly complementing the adrenaline-fueled competition. Visitors can expect a packed schedule filled with both exhilarating races and well-deserved relaxation off the mountain.

RMSHA stands as one of the signature winter events at Tamarack Resort, converging competitive snowmobiling with a spectator-friendly environment. With the resort's annual snowfall averaging 266 inches and a well-earned reputation for hosting memorable spring events, Tamarack remains a premier choice for late-season mountain action.
