The exciting news is out! Tickets for the highly anticipated
Whiskey Festival 2027 in Matsumoto will officially go on sale starting
October 9, 2023, at 12 PM JST. Hosted by the
Whiskey Culture Institute, this delightful event is set to take place at the
Hotel Buena Vista in Matsumoto City on
January 11, 2027.
Early Ticket Purchase for Members
Members of the Whiskey Culture Institute can purchase tickets early from October 2, 2023, at 12 PM JST, with a limit of
300 tickets available. This special presale is an exclusive benefit for members, allowing them to secure their spots ahead of the general public.
For non-members, ticket sales will officially begin on October 9 via the digital ticket service,
Cloud Pass. Attendees can buy up to
five tickets in one transaction, with the option to distribute them if purchasing for friends or family. Tickets will be processed digitally, eliminating the need for physical tickets; entry will be granted by scanning a QR code upon arrival. Make sure to retain the
purchase confirmation email as proof of transaction.
Please note that in addition to the ticket price of
5,000 yen (tax included), there will be a
Cloud Pass system usage fee for all bookings, both for early sales and general admission.

One of the highlights of the festival will be our
tasting seminars, featuring renowned experts in the field. Two exciting sessions are scheduled:

Title: Blending Delights - Discovering Flavor Preferences

Instructors: Yumi Yoshikawa (Global Brand Ambassador at Venture Whiskey) and Naoki Shirahama (Whiskey Craftsman at Venture Whiskey)
Fee: 4,400 yen (includes tax)
Participants will learn about the art of blending different whiskies and the unique flavor profiles they can create.

Title: Celebrating 40 Years of Mars Komagatake Distillery
Time: January 11, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Instructor: Kunihiro Kawakami (Manufacturing Supervisor & Blender at Hombo Shuzo)
Fee: 4,400 yen (includes tax)
This seminar will provide insights into the distillery's 40-year journey in the whiskey industry and offer tastings of Komagatake’s creations.
Seminar Registration
To register for these seminars, attendees must first obtain an entry ticket for the festival. Then, using the digital ticket on Cloud Pass, select the desired seminar and complete the registration process. Please remember that each seminar allows only one participant per ticket.
Tickets for seminars must be purchased in addition to the festival entry, and all sales are final; cancellations or changes cannot be accommodated.
Exclusive Original Bottles
A limited edition of original whiskey bottles will also be released during the festival, crafted in collaboration with local distilleries. Interested attendees can secure a bottle through their digital ticket during the specified sales period. If demand exceeds supply, a lottery will be conducted.
