According to the recently released Yole Group's Robotaxi 2026 report, Hesai commands a remarkable 62% share of the market. This figure highlights not only Hesai's success but also the overall growth trajectory of the robotaxi industry.

The report reveals that Hesai's lidar technology has been chosen for many leading Level 4 robotaxi and autonomous vehicle initiatives across the globe. This includes partnerships with notable firms such as Baidu Apollo Go, Pony.ai, WeRide, DiDi, Motional, Aurora, and KargoBot. Such a diverse array of deployments illustrates a significant trend: the reliance on lidar solutions is distributed across numerous platforms and environments, rather than being centralized around a singular entity. This diversification mitigates risk and fosters innovation.

As per Yole Group's analysis, the global robotaxi fleet is projected to expand significantly, with the number of vehicles expected to increase from around 10,000 in 2025 to an astonishing 331,000 by 2031.
