MetLife Life Insurance F League Launches Innovative Collaboration Project For a Brighter Future

MetLife Life Insurance F League's New Initiative: Footwork For Futures

MetLife Life Insurance Company, led by CEO Dirk Osteen, is set to launch a new season of the MetLife Life Insurance F1 League, F2 League, and Women's F League starting May 29, 2026. As a title partner, MetLife aims to deepen collaboration with the leagues, clubs, and local communities.

Transitioning from Supporter to Collaborating Partner

In the previous season, MetLife focused on enhancing support and recognition for the entire league. This season, the company's role is evolving beyond being a mere sponsor; it will now operate as a co-creation partner. This shift marks an exciting development as MetLife collaborates with various clubs to execute a series of 'co-creation projects'.

Strengthening Community Activation with Clubs

The project aims to design and implement events and programs tailored to each club’s unique characteristics and local challenges. Examples of planned activities include inviting students from all elementary schools in a club's hometown to special matches and activations to engage the local community and enhance their matchday experience.

Creating Educational and Experiential Opportunities for Children

Furthermore, through football, MetLife aims to provide valuable experiences and learning opportunities for children within the community. This includes initiatives such as futsal workshops and financial education programs.

Sharing and Promoting Activities

The specifics of the co-creation project, along with storytelling around the initiatives, will be shared through official social media channels to visualize the social impact.

Footwork For Futures: A Collaboration Between Global Education Support and the F League

Beginning in 2025, MetLife will support the 'FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund' in tandem with a global partnership with Global Citizen. This initiative focuses on improving access to quality education, thereby empowering future generations and fostering stronger, sustainable communities.

In collaboration with the FIFA Global Citizen Educational Fund, the MetLife Life Insurance F League will participate in the 'Footwork For Futures' initiative from Japan. This program features a video challenge open to everyone across social media platforms, led by Dai Matsui, the chairman of the F League, as its inaugural participant. Each video posted under the theme of personal 'footwork' will result in a $5 donation, contributing to a total of up to $100,000 in support for children around the world.

The MetLife Life Insurance F League is expanding its influence not only in the realm of football and sports life but also into educational domains, creating new possibilities for communities and children. This endeavor resonates deeply with MetLife's purpose: 'Walking Together Towards a Brighter Future.' Moving forward, the league, clubs, local communities, and fans will work collaboratively to enact positive changes through the power of sports, contributing to a future where every individual can walk confidently.
