California Credit Union Aids Local Students with Annual Back-to-School Program in Los Angeles
California Credit Union has launched its annual back-to-school program, supplying over 350 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to local students at the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA. This initiative, which is in collaboration with NBC4 and Telemundo 52's 'Supporting Our Schools' campaign, aims to ease the burdens of families as they prepare for the new academic year.
This effort not only provides students with the necessary tools to excel in school but also reinforces the importance of education in the community. California Credit Union President/CEO Steve O'Connell expressed gratitude for the support from members, employees, and the community, as it reflects a collective commitment to youth education and community service.
The supplies were generously collected during a branch drive in July, showcasing the spirit of community collaboration. Backpacks filled with necessary items will be distributed to students involved in YMCA programs before the school year kicks off. The ongoing partnership with organizations like NBC4 and Telemundo 52 amplifies the message of community support and goodwill towards education initiatives.
The Supporting Our Schools program is recognized for helping students acquire the supplies they need to thrive academically. Families can learn more or contribute to this initiative by visiting the affiliated websites for NBC4 and Telemundo 52.
