The study indicates that these high-efficiency, touchless hand dryers can reduce the carbon footprint by as much as 94% when compared to 100% recycled paper towels. This revelation is crucial in the face of tightening global sustainability targets.
Unveiling the Data
Conducted by the independent consulting firm TrueNorth Collective, the LCA analyzed the environmental effects of hand dryers across every stage of their life cycle—from production and transportation, to usage and disposal. Key categories assessed included global warming potential, resource depletion, smog formation, and carcinogenic presence, among others.
