A New Icon of Cherry Blossoms

The festival was hosted on the expansive grounds of the Nagase Supun Hatchery, where around 500 cherry trees have been planted over the past seven years. These trees now bloom beautifully, creating a new location in the late spring of the Okuhida region that’s gaining attention.

The scale of the festival expanded significantly from the previous year, with events including a food fest, comedy performances, dance contests, lion dances, and, notably, Gifu Prefecture's first full-fledged drone show.

Opening the event was a special collaboration between the local Takayama West High School Wind Ensemble and the popular comedy duo, Double Name. The interaction between local high school students and national entertainers set a warm and engaging tone for the festival. The night’s climax was the debut of Gifu's first full-fledged drone show, executed in collaboration with RED CLIFF, Japan's leading drone show company.
