The 7th Okayama Children's Future Musical 'Harold!'

Ticket reservations for the third round of the event are set to open soon, and can be booked via the official Expo 2025 website from August 9 to 11 for the August 12 performance, and from August 10 to 12 for the August 13 performance. It is important to note that 'Harold!' requires the purchase of an Expo ticket separately; only after acquiring an Expo ticket can attendees reserve their seats for 'Harold!'.

About Okayama Children's Future Musical 'Harold!'

Launched in 2017, this project is driven by the belief that fostering talent directly contributes to community development. The initiative encourages children from elementary to high school within Okayama Prefecture to work closely with professional actors over a period of two and a half months, culminating in a joint performance free of constraints such as age, gender, or nationality. The inaugural performance took place in March 2018, and since then, the musical has continued to flourish with six successful events to date.

Through their experiences with 'Harold!', participants develop essential life skills and values, including teamwork, the importance of expression, and the gratifying experience of completing a project. With each cycle, the organization aims to create an opportunity for children to discover their passions and grow as individuals who will contribute positively to society.

As it approaches its seventh edition, the project aims to spread the growth of Okayama's children and its message to a broader audience by participating in the Osaka-Kansai Expo. This expo serves as a bridge to the world for the young performers, with hopes of showcasing Okayama's charm and cultivating future generations of talented individuals.

In recognition of its cultural significance, the musical was certified by the Corporate Mécēnat Council of Japan as part of its initiatives to support arts and culture.
