ECOFF Report Exchange Meeting 2025: Connecting Communities Through Student Engagement

ECOFF Report Exchange Meeting 2025: Connecting Students and Communities

On November 22, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., the ECOFF Report Exchange Meeting will be held at the Ikebukuro Sunshine City Conference Room 11 in Tokyo. This event is organized by ECOFF, a non-profit organization dedicated to regional revitalization through volunteerism. For over 14 years, ECOFF has been sending students to rural areas, including remote islands, to engage in community activities, and this year's event will showcase the results of this impactful work.

Overview of the Event

The ECOFF Report Exchange Meeting is an interactive platform where a total of 142 young participants, consisting mostly of high school and university students, will present their experiences from their volunteer activities conducted between February and September 2025. The primary objective is to foster connections among participants and inspire further involvement in regional development initiatives.

Theme: "Finding Friends Who Connect With Communities!"

This year, the event's theme encourages students to explore avenues of community engagement and connection. The operation and planning of the event will once again be managed by the ECOFF Student Branch, a group comprising actively participating university students.

About the Village Revitalization Volunteer Program

The Village Revitalization Volunteer Program allows students to participate in unique experiences in rural areas, including islands and farmlands, where they take part in vital volunteer efforts alongside locals. This program not only increases the local population but also fosters meaningful connections between participants and the regions they serve.

By emphasizing flexibility and respect for the local context, participants engage in activities that resonate with the community's immediate needs, creating an authentic living and learning environment.
