Camp Fire and AT&T Join Forces to Provide Laptops for Absolutely Incredible Kid Day 2026

Empowering Young Minds: Laptops for Absolutely Incredible Kid Day

In a heartwarming initiative, Camp Fire, a national youth development nonprofit, has partnered with AT&T to give away more than 2,500 laptops across the United States as part of the Absolutely Incredible Kid Day on March 19, 2026. This monumental event aims to bridge the digital divide, empowering children and teens with the necessary tools to learn, create, and remain connected in today’s fast-paced digital landscape.

A Day to Celebrate Youth

Absolutely Incredible Kid Day, celebrated annually on the third Thursday in March, focuses on encouraging adults nationwide to acknowledge and celebrate the young people in their lives. Through a simple but powerful gesture—sharing a heartfelt message highlighting a child's uniqueness and potential—participants help foster a sense of belonging and self-worth among youth. This year marks a significant milestone, commemorating 150 years since Alexander Graham Bell made the first phone call—an event deeply significant to AT&T and its mission of connectivity.

According to Shawna Rosenzweig, CEO of Camp Fire National Headquarters, "The essence of Absolutely Incredible Kid Day has always revolved around adults showing up for the youth in their lives. When trusted adults tell children that they are incredible, it cultivates an environment of confidence and belonging, which is vital for emotional resilience. This partnership with AT&T amplifies our message of encouragement while ensuring that young individuals have access to the digital world they need to thrive."

How It Works

From February 12, 2026, adults can participate by submitting notes, video messages, or calls expressing appreciation for any young person in their lives. These submissions, collected via MemoryFox's storytelling platform, not only contribute to a growing national movement of encouragement but also enter participants into a contest to receive one of the laptops. The submission window remains open until March 10, 2026, building anticipation for this nationwide celebration culminated in community events across participating states and Washington, D.C.

Of the laptops being distributed, twenty-five will be awarded directly through the #KidDay contest, while others will be allocated to communities with the most significant needs, thus ensuring equitable access for all participants. The laptop giveaways represent much more than just technological support; they signify an investment in the future of countless children.

The Impact of Connection

Mylayna Albright, Vice President of Corporate Responsibility at AT&T, emphasized the transformative strength of connection, stating, "Connection opens doors to opportunities. By joining forces with Camp Fire for the #KidDay initiative, we're merging essential human connection with access to technology. This synergy helps young individuals build the self-confidence and skills necessary to succeed in an increasingly digital world."

In an environment exacerbated by the pressures of digital isolation, these initiatives encourage young people to feel heard, valued, and supported, highlighting the critical importance of relationships in their development. The combination of encouragement and technological access can serve as a catalyst for change in many children’s lives, providing not just devices but opportunities for learning and personal growth.

Join the Movement

With the central message that every kid matters, adults everywhere are encouraged to call, text, or record uplifting messages for the youth in their lives. Using the hashtag #KidDay, everyone is invited to contribute to this collective effort while inspiring others to do the same. Participants and their heartfelt messages will be celebrated nationwide, culminating in a notable celebration of connection and encouragement on March 19, 2026.
