His advocacy work has touched the lives of more than 1.3 billion people globally, ensuring improved access to healthcare, education, and other vital services. Evans has redefined global activism by bridging the gap between grassroots movements and systemic policy changes, addressing inequalities effectively on an international scale.
Wanjira Mathai, the Regional Director for Africa at the World Resources Institute, joins as a significant figure in environmental restoration and development. Her leadership in the Green Belt Movement has seen the planting of 51 million trees and spearheads the AFR100 Initiative, which aims to restore 100 million hectares of degraded land across Africa by 2030.
