Exclusive Idol-Collaboration Products Launching at Kinshicho Marui for a Limited Time

Exciting New Collaboration Unveiled

Starting February 11, 2024, Kinshicho Marui in Tokyo will be the venue for an exciting new initiative celebrating the collaboration between idols and local municipalities. This is part of the "Creating Regions with Idols" project, a model program endorsed by the Cabinet Office's Local Revitalization 2.0 initiative. It is conducted in partnership with three municipalities: Uda City in Nara Prefecture, Otsuki City in Yamanashi Prefecture, and Nachikatsuura Town in Wakayama Prefecture. Together with the Public-Private Partnership Promotion Organization, local businesses and popular idols have worked tirelessly to develop new products that showcase regional charm.

A Unique Approach to Regional Development

The project's unique feature lies in its collaborative nature, where idols do more than just participate – they co-develop products with local businesses. The initiative aims to stimulate interest in these regions, increasing the so-called "relationship population" which comprises those interested in social contributions and community involvement. On-going support for regional businesses also involves influencers collaborating to promote and engage in public relations efforts. This multifaceted partnership model between municipalities, the private sector, and idols aims to invigorate local economies through effective marketing strategies.

Highly popular idols like Natsumi Hirashima, Yukari Sasaki, Haruka Kodama, and Rain Tree have taken on roles as Local Revitalization Public-Private Partnership Ambassadors. They have actively proposed new product developments and, after approximately six months of collaborative effort, these products are poised for launch on February 11. Following this debut, there are plans for registering these items as return gifts for hometown tax contributions in their respective municipalities.

Product Launch Events

The launch will include an exclusive sales event at the seventh-floor event space of Kinshicho Marui, with a series of hand-delivery sales by idols for NFT holders. These events will span from February 11 to 17, with special appearances each day:
  • - February 11: Rain Tree's Kaito Yoshikawa
  • - February 12: Rain Tree's Mio Suzuno
  • - February 13: Natsumi Hirashima
  • - February 14: Yukari Sasaki
  • - February 15: General sales (open to all)
  • - February 16: Rain Tree's Hinata Asamiya
  • - February 17: Rain Tree's Umi Yoshikawa

Each handover event is limited to NFT project pass holders, ensuring an intimate interaction with the fans. Additionally, the February 15 general sale will allow non-NFT holders a chance to purchase these exclusive products as well.

Harnessing NFT and DAO

This project breaks new ground by utilizing NFTs and DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations) to involve fans directly in regional development. By holding an NFT project pass, fans can not only support the idol’s product development but also participate as contributors to the community. Fans help design labels and engage in dialogue with local businesses, bringing fresh perspectives and creativity to the product development process.

The collaboration also extends to the operational side of events, where NFT pass holders can assist in managing the launch event at Kinshicho Marui, thereby reinforcing their role in the community's growth.

Limited Edition Products

Unique items developed through these collaborations will be unveiled, including:
  • - Natsumi Hirashima: Special sake, beer, and gourmet sausages.
  • - Yukari Sasaki: Exclusive beer, healthy sausages, and a special selection package with a personal message.
  • - Haruka Kodama: Limited edition sake crafted with local partners.
  • - Rain Tree: Special premium cans designed with local flavors and baked goods.

With limited quantities available, these products not only reflect the collaboration but also tastefully embody the essence of regional pride and innovation.

Conclusion

This ambitious project represents a transformative opportunity for regional economies, inviting fans to not only cheer from the sidelines but to become integral participants in a new model of local revitalization. By merging entertainment with community engagement, it paves the way for a sustainable future where idols and local businesses can thrive together.
