The celebration of the 55th anniversary of the beloved manga magazine, Betsucomi, is finally here! From October 3 to October 13, 2025, the special exhibition titled "Betsucomi 55th ANNIV. BEYOND THE PAGE: The Continuation of Love" will be held at LUMINE 0 Newoman Shinjuku. This event marks a significant milestone for Shogakukan, the publisher that brought us this cherished magazine since its inception in 1970.

An Immersive Experience Featuring Iconic Manga Moments

The exhibition promises an unforgettable show that immerses attendees in the world of iconic scenes from popular manga such as "The Poe Clan," "BASARA," and "BANANA FISH." A humongous screen measuring over 4 meters in height and 20 meters in width will provide an immersive viewing experience. Visitors can enjoy an original 20-minute video featuring 16 selected works showcased with stunning visuals and sound effects that capture the essence of these notable stories.

One of the highlights of this exhibition is the insight it offers into the creation of these beloved stories. Visitors can see how these masterpieces were brought to life through various art styles, from analog to digital. Time-lapse videos showcasing the drawing process will also be on display, providing a unique peek behind the scenes. Additionally, you will find photo spots featuring large displays of notable illustrations, creating perfect opportunities for capturing memories.
