PHOMI's Innovative eDisplay Curtain Shines at the Canton Fair 2025
PHOMI's Innovative eDisplay Curtain at Canton Fair
At the 138th Canton Fair, the revolutionary eDisplay Curtain by PHOMI caught the spotlight and brought home both the Gold and Silver Innovation Design Awards for 2025. This innovative product ingeniously repurposes construction waste into a CO2-neutral building facade that integrates a dynamic information display, setting a new benchmark for the construction industry while championing sustainable smart cities worldwide.
The eDisplay Curtain utilizes recycled materials, including stone waste and excavation dust, to create a unique facade. One of its standout features is the integrated digital information display that replaces traditional billboards. Thanks to the precise management of its microstructure, the curtain achieves efficient light transmission, directing light through microscopic optical channels for stunning video output.
A juror at the Canton Fair Innovative Design CF Awards commended the concept, stating, "The integration of information transfer into facades instead of placing screens independently is brilliant. PHOMI's eDisplay Curtain transforms our understanding of buildings and human interaction with urban spaces."
Since its debut, this technology has garnered international acclaim, including gold medals in France and Nuremberg, along with additional accolades from Geneva. It is now a part of various carbon-neutral initiatives in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia's Digital New City and Oman's Zero-Carbon Community.
Visitors to the Green Building Materials Pavilion in Hall 13.2 are mesmerized by a full-scale dynamic model of the CO2-neutral curtain facade. A mobile app enables attendees to monitor real-time control of the facade's content live. PHOMI's exhibition also showcases ecological clay products, such as the fire-resistant eCovering Marble Series rated A, that offer solutions for curved facades.
“It goes beyond merely enhancing materials; it redefines the interaction between buildings and information,” noted a buying representative from the Canton Fair. “It strengthens urban infrastructure through collaborative design, which is crucial for the rapid advancement of developing countries.”
PHOMI further announced that several construction firms from Europe and the Middle East signed partnership agreements on the opening day. The company aims to progressively license the technology and promote a global standard for CO2-neutral construction materials.
