The Global Celebration of Negroni Week 2026
Negroni Week is an annual charity event that has caught the world's attention, celebrating the beloved classic cocktail, the Negroni. This year, the event will take place from September 21 to 27, 2026, and promises to be an exciting week of cocktails, creativity, and contributions to charitable causes.
An Overview of Negroni Week
Originally launched in 2013 by the renowned Italian liqueur brand Campari and the American cocktail culture magazine Imbibe, Negroni Week has grown into a massive international event. In 2025 alone, more than 14,000 bars and restaurants across 92 countries participated, showcasing the versatility and universal appeal of the Negroni while donating a portion of the proceeds to various nonprofit organizations.
Throughout the week, venues around the globe will offer their unique takes on this classic drink, highlighting creative variations by talented bartenders.
Collaboration with iichiko
Building on last year's success, Campari is once again collaborating with iichiko, Japan's premier shochu brand, to create special experiences during Negroni Week. From September 7 to 9, just before the main event, there will be a special pop-up event featuring exclusive cocktails and limited-time campaigns across participating bars.
The collaboration will showcase the newly developed “麹ネグローニ” (Koji Negroni) and a fresh cocktail called “ROSSO BLU.” The Koji Negroni emphasizes the traditional Japanese ingredient koji while honoring the essence of the classic Negroni. On the other hand, ROSS BLU will cater to the preferences of Japanese consumers seeking lighter cocktails, offering a refreshing twist that resonates with the nuances of both Japanese and Italian cultures.
Innovative Cocktails and Special Events
The highlight of this year's festivities will be the introduction of ROSS BLU, a cocktail designed with a blend of bitterness and refreshment, making it accessible for all consumers. Inspired by the romantic novel “冷静と情熱のあいだ” (Between Calm and Passion) by Kaori Ekuni and Jinsei Tsuji, the name reflects a beautiful connection between Japanese literature and cocktail culture.
To enhance the experience, a series of engaging events including special guest bartenders and video collaborations will take place. Notably, a pop-up event at Bar Tram in Ebisu from September 7 to 9 will feature esteemed bartenders showcasing their unique takes on the Negroni.
Guest Bartender Appearances
During this three-day event, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy special cocktails created by the guest bartenders. Each day will highlight new, original cocktails alongside the classic Koji Negroni and ROSS BLU, creating a unique experience.
