This enchanting gathering shows the commitment of the Westin to present exceptional culture and artistry right in the heart of Miyagi Prefecture.

This year, the event promises a delightful experience, taking place in the elegant banquet hall "Miyabi," located on the 25th floor, offering breathtaking views of the cityscape. Daniel Geede, former concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, will lead an impressive ensemble of four world-class musicians, creating a sublime evening of music that captures the essence of autumn. Geede's relationship with Sendai is deeply woven into his commitment to cultural support in the region, particularly following the events of the Great East Japan Earthquake, where he has performed over a hundred volunteer concerts.

Joining Geede are renowned musicians such as Gustav Livius, a jury member of the prestigious Tchaikovsky International Competition, and Oliver Trendl, a celebrated award-winning musician known for his exceptional performances. A special guest for the night, Harald Kreunpeck, a violinist active at the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic, will add depth and brilliance to the ensemble's rich tonal palette. Their collective artistry is sure to offer a memorable evening for all attendees.

After being serenaded by melodious tunes, guests will transition to the "Symphony Restaurant" on the 26th floor to indulge in a specially curated afternoon tea. Featuring seasonal autumn delicacies and caramel-themed desserts, this exclusive plan priced at ¥12,000 allows attendees to relish the flavors of fall while recounting the enriching performances they just witnessed.

The Westin Salon, which began in November 2010, aims to continuously spotlight beautiful cultures and arts both from Japan and beyond. About the Vienna Hugo Wolf Piano Trio

Established in January 2007 by Daniel Geede, the Vienna Hugo Wolf Piano Trio has since captivated audiences with its harmonious performances. In 2012, celebrated cellist Gustav Livius joined, further enriching their repertoire. The trio has consistently impressed audiences, including a notable Japan tour in 2016 where they showcased refined ensemble skills.

Special Guest: Harald Kreunpeck

Introducing Harald Kreunpeck, an accomplished violinist born into a family of Vienna Philharmonic musicians. His career began early, and he held positions such as concertmaster for the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra in 1988. Kreunpeck has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Brahms International Competition, solidifying his reputation as a leading musician and educator who helps foster the next generation of classical artists.
