CaringBridge and Walgreens Partner for a $50,000 Donation Match Campaign to Support Caregivers
CaringBridge and Walgreens Join Forces for Caregiver Support
CaringBridge, an esteemed nonprofit health platform, has teamed up with Walgreens, a leader in integrated healthcare and pharmacy services, to launch a significant initiative aimed at supporting family caregivers. This initiative includes a two-day campaign wherein Walgreens will match donations made on the CaringBridge platform, up to an impressive $50,000. This event will take place on December 17 and 18, 2024, and is set to amplify the ongoing support for caregivers that CaringBridge offers throughout the year.
The motivation behind this partnership stems from the understanding that caregivers are often the unsung heroes, facing numerous challenges while taking care of loved ones who are navigating health journeys. These challenges can lead to physical, emotional, and financial strain, making support essential. Through this donation match campaign, CaringBridge aims to provide practical assistance to these essential individuals.
The Gift Card Shop
CaringBridge has introduced gift card options through its e-commerce portal, CaringBridge.TheGiftCardShop.com. Here, friends and family can purchase and send Walgreens gift cards directly to caregivers, providing them with the means to alleviate some of their everyday expenses. Each purchase generates a 3% contribution to CaringBridge, which is then reinvested to further support the caregivers within the community.
Maria Smith, Vice President of Payments & Financial Services at Walgreens, stated, “At Walgreens, we understand the critical role caregivers play and the challenges they face. By partnering with CaringBridge, we aim to ease the burden on caregivers through resources and tools that simplify their responsibilities.” This statement echoes the overarching goal of this partnership, which is to improve the quality of life for caregivers.
