IWP Launches Innovative Financing Platform for Creators' Ownership and Control
In a creative industry where storytelling is paramount, the cost of bringing ideas to fruition can often hinder artistic expression. Throughout the years, many creators have had to relinquish their control over intellectual property in exchange for capital—this has been an accepted norm until now.
Enter Itibari-Waynne Partners (IWP), a Los Angeles-based company that has introduced a unique structured financing platform designed specifically for the creator economy. With the launch of their new initiative, dubbed Insure 80, IWP aims to empower creators to retain ownership of their work while also facilitating their access to necessary funds for production.
A New Era of Ownership
The Insure 80 financing model permits up to 80% of a production loan to be secured through a combination of layered financial backing, which includes internal reserves and qualifying state and federal incentives. IWP emphasizes that their goal is to provide financial solutions without forcing creators to trade away what they have built. According to Itibari “Zulu,” Managing Partner and President of IWP, “Our mission is simple: to bring stories to life without compromising creator ownership.”
This innovative approach shifts the traditional paradigm where fundraising often meant compromising on the control over content. With loans available for projects up to $6.25 million—of which a maximum of $5 million can be insured through the new model—this platform seeks to transform storytelling into a viable and scalable financial asset class. Each qualifying project will be required to showcase means of repayment that is at least 130% of the total debt service, ensuring sustainable financial practices.
A Comprehensive Digital Ecosystem
To streamline the process, IWP has developed a sophisticated digital portal, which serves as a centralized
