MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026 KIDS KANSAI: A Dance Showdown for the Young

The anticipation is building as the MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026 KIDS KANSAI qualifier is just around the corner. This monumental event, organized by Anomaly Inc.—a company based in Shibuya, Tokyo, and led by CEO Kanta Kanda—is part of one of the largest solo dance battles in the world, the MyNavi DANCEALIVE. Scheduled to take place over several stages, the qualifiers will ultimately lead to the grand finals in April 2026.

Event Schedule

The MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026 KIDS KANSAI consists of three main events:

• - Vol. 1: August 30, 2025 (This has already concluded)
• - Vol. 2: November 1, 2025
• - Climax: January 10, 2026

In addition to Kansai, other regions including Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, Chubu, Chugoku, and Kyushu will also host qualifying rounds. Each region will engage young dancers in competition, leading to the finals, which promises to be an exhilarating spectacle.

What is MyNavi DANCEALIVE?

Established in 2005 as DANCE@LIVE, this dance battle has grown into a massive event that features one-on-one street dance showdowns. Dancers face off against each other, showcasing their best moves to music unknown to them beforehand, relying on creativity and improvisation. Judges, chosen based on how well they perform, determine the winners based on their skills during this electrifying battle format.

The competition is divided into various categories, including general styles such as BREAKING, HIP HOP, HOUSE, and POPPING, with a special KIDS category for younger participants under middle school age. The KIDS event historically includes ALL STYLES battles designed to highlight the diverse talents of young dancers.

Future KIDS Events

As the MyNavi DANCEALIVE 2026 journey progresses, here are some important upcoming dates:

• - November 1, 2025: KIDS KANSAI vol.2
• - November 3, 2025: KIDS KANTO vol.2
• - November 8, 2025: KIDS HOKKAIDO vol.2
• - November 9, 2025: KIDS CHUGOKU vol.1
• - Further events will continue through the end of 2025 and into early 2026, culminating in the final battle on April 19, 2026 at Ryogoku Kokugikan.

Participation Guidelines

The competition welcomes kids who are in middle school or younger at the time of participation. Notably, graduates can still participate as long as they were eligible at the qualifying events. Dancers will face off in 1-on-1 battles, regardless of their dance genre, in pursuit of points accumulated from their performances throughout the qualifiers. The top two participants from each area will earn a spot in the finals, alongside two wildcard contestants selected through an exciting wildcard battle prior to the finals.

A total of 24 qualifiers will take place across eight regions, ensuring ample opportunities for young talents to shine. Each region offers a unique platform for participants to demonstrate their skills while competing for coveted titles and honors.
