John Graham Takes Office as CIMA President
The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has officially announced the election of John Graham, FCMA, CGMA, as its 92nd President. This appointment reflects not only a significant achievement for Graham but also a pivotal moment for the field of management accounting. As the first sitting president of CIMA holding a full-time executive position within the UK's National Health Service (NHS), his dual roles underscore a progressive shift in the accounting profession towards leadership roles in various sectors.
Graham has predominantly worked in the NHS, where he held numerous positions, including Chief Finance Officer for several NHS organizations. His extensive experience in financial management within healthcare provides him a unique perspective on the vital intersection of finance, healthcare, and public service. Currently, he serves as Chief Finance Officer for Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, in addition to being the Deputy Chief Executive at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
