New Programming Club Launches in Kita Ward to Inspire Students

Exciting Launch of Kita Ward's Programming Club

The city of Kita Ward in Tokyo is set to bring a fantastic opportunity to its students with the introduction of the new regional club activities system starting in the fall of 2025. This initiative is designed to expand the options available to students, allowing them to engage in various sports and cultural activities beyond the confines of their classrooms. The aim is to foster a rich environment for students, encouraging them to explore new interests and connect with peers in a collaborative setting.

On September 13, 2025, the Kita Ward Board of Education officially unveiled details about the regional club activities program. One exciting facet of this initiative is the launch of a new Programming Club for students enrolled in Kita Ward’s municipal middle schools and compulsory education schools (upper grades). Kicking off in October 2025, this club promises to immerse participants in the world of programming, focusing on languages like Python and web technologies. It will allow students to embark on their digital and coding journey, transforming ideas into reality while working alongside fellow enthusiasts.

The programming lessons will be conducted by the NPO Programming Education Research Institute, ensuring that students receive high-quality instruction. The club's operations will be managed by NPO Red Shuffle, known for their commitment to educational initiatives.
