Risen Energy Achieves Breakthrough in HJT Module Production with 740 Wp

Risen Energy's Milestone in Photovoltaic Technology

Risen Energy Co., Ltd., a prominent name in the photovoltaic sector, marked a major breakthrough with its Hyper-ion HJT modules achieving an impressive average production capacity of 740 Wp. The company announced this achievement on July 3, 2025, highlighting a record cell efficiency of 26.61%, which sets a new industry standard. This accomplishment reflects the seamless integration between research and development (R&D) and production capabilities, confirming Risen Energy's leadership in high-efficiency photovoltaic energy.

Innovative Features of the Hyper-ion HJT Modules

The success of the HJT modules is underpinned by several key innovations:
  • - Patented Technologies: Utilizing the National Key Research and Development Program, Risen's proprietary technology optimizes structural design while significantly reducing costs without compromising efficiency.
  • - Silver Consumption Reduction: The silver usage has dramatically decreased to 5 mg/W, representing a 37.5% reduction compared to conventional TOPCon technologies, enhancing the cost-effectiveness of non-silicon materials through stencil printing methods.
  • - Low Cell-to-Module Losses: The CTM (cell-to-module) loss is minimized to 1.8% with cell breakage rates below 0.03%, allowing the manufacture of high-performance modules.

Environmental Impact and Efficiency

The Hyper-ion module not only excels in energy output but also boasts ultra-low carbon emissions. With a temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C and 90% bifaciality, this module generates 4.09% more power than TOPCon during testing at SGS Saudi Arabia, reaching peak monthly gains of 6.04%. These improvements translate into substantial environmental benefits:
  • - An annual energy generation of over 3 million kWh per 100 MW project.
  • - A significant reduction of 2,880 tons of CO₂ emissions.
  • - A remarkably low carbon footprint of 376.5 kg eq CO₂/kWc.

Global Market Expansion

Risen Energy's HJT modules are set to become a key solution for large-scale, commercial, and industrial projects. The company anticipates over 9 GW of specific HJT module tenders for 2025 in China, led by major state-owned enterprises like China Green Development and CGN.

Additionally, Risen Energy is broadening its geographical reach, expanding to over 50 countries across the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Particularly in high irradiation regions like Saudi Arabia and the UAE, verified energy increases exceed 6%, which significantly cuts down on the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE).

Vision for the Future

Dr. Yang Pochuan, Dean of the Global Photovoltaic Research Institute at Risen, stated, “Our goal is to achieve cell efficiency greater than 27% and monocrystalline modules exceeding 790 W in the next three years. By 2028, we aim for mass production of over 850 Wp through our perovskite tandem technology, propelling the global transition to net-zero emissions with ‘Chinese Solutions’.”

Risen Energy's latest developments position them at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution, leading advancements that promise a sustainable future with high efficiency in photovoltaic technology.
