Taisyo University Hosts Film Festival 2025 to Explore Anime Production Mysteries

Taisyo University Presents "Film Festival 2025"

On November 1, 2025, Taisyo University will host the annual "Film Festival 2025: The Truth Always Lies in One!? Unraveling the Mysteries of Hit Anime Production!" This event is led by second-year students from the Media Arts and Entertainment Work Course, as part of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) initiative, where students take charge of planning and executing the festival.

Special Guest Michihiko Suwa

One of the highlights of the festival is the guest speaker, Michihiko Suwa, a prominent anime producer and the CEO of Asuha PP. Suwa is known for his work on iconic shows such as "YAWARA!" and "Detective Conan." He will share behind-the-scenes stories and insights from his decades of experience in the anime industry, providing attendees with a rare opportunity to learn from a master in the field.

Student-Organized Screenings

The festival will also feature screenings of anime selected by the students, giving them a platform to showcase their curatorial skills. In between the screenings, there will be breaks where attendees can enjoy student-made works, adding a personal touch to the event.

Consultation for High School Students and Parents

An essential part of this year's festival will be the consultation sessions aimed at high school students and their families. Throughout the day, students from the Media Arts and Entertainment Work Course will be available to answer questions and provide guidance on academic pathways, making the event an excellent opportunity for prospective students and their parents.

The festival will be held in the main lecture hall on the third floor of Taisyo University's Building 3, located in Toshima, Tokyo. For those traveling by public transportation, the venue is a short walk from both Nishi-Sugamo Station and Itabashi Station.
