New Updates and Features in Chaos Zero Nightmare

On January 14, 2023, Smilegate Megaport made a major announcement regarding their dark fantasy roguelike RPG, Chaos Zero Nightmare. The game, developed by SUPER CREATIVE, presented a series of updates that include the beta version of a new content called 'Scream's Spiral Tower' and the introduction of new ★5 characters, Najah and Gaya.

Beta Version of 'Scream's Spiral Tower'

The recently unveiled beta version of 'Scream's Spiral Tower' comprises a formidable 50 floors where players engage in intense combat scenarios. Up to three combatants can be assembled for each battle, utilizing their existing save data for strategy. Upon successfully clearing each floor, players earn various rewards including crystals, combat memory, strategic certification papers, and growth items. This compelling content is designed to encourage players to strategize their moves while progressing through the challenging tower.

Introducing Najah and Gaya

In this update, players can also look forward to the new ★5 combatant Najah. She operates as a controller combatant with a unique instinct attribute that allows her to recover HP and enhance damage output through specialized buffs. Additionally, the new partner Gaya boosts the damage output dependent on the combatant's defense, broadening strategic options for combat arrangements.

Character Video Trailer

To showcase Najah, a character preview video has been released, highlighting her abilities and role in the game. This trailer can be viewed online, including character abilities and early gameplay strategies.

Limited-Time Events

This update is accompanied by a series of limited-time events that players can engage in. From January 14 until February 4, the event titled 'The Preservation of Sealed Hope' will focus on Najah’s trauma code, presenting players opportunities to acquire exclusive rewards through event battles and trauma codes. Furthermore, an event centered on the existing combatant Luke’s trauma code has also been introduced.

Other events include the 'Overdrive Simulation' running until January 21, allowing players to double their simulation content rewards up to six times a day, and the 'Emergency Rescue Protocol' that provides rewards for seven-day logins until February 25. Finally, the 'Guardian of the Ark' event from January 28 to February 11 enables players to earn rewards based on the number of policies executed within Ark City.

System Improvements

Alongside these features, significant system improvements have been rolled out. A new function permits players to skip story sequences during their initial viewing, enhancing the gameplay experience. The simulation mode has shifted from a traditional battle count selection to a more direct reward multiplier choice. Plus, players now possess the ability to claim loot at Chaos waypoints, broadening avenues for treasure acquisition beyond defeating Chaos bosses. The familiarization process has been refined to ensure aspects such as UI and UX concerning memory fragments are more intuitive.
