The 26th China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education (CACIE 2025) commenced in Beijing on October 30th, marking one of the most significant education-focused events in the Asia-Pacific region. Under the theme "Bridging Education and Beyond," the conference attracted over 5,000 attendees representing educational institutions, government bodies, and international organizations from more than 70 countries.

Networking and Cooperative Agreements

To enhance institutional cooperation, CACIE 2025 included B2B networking activities through a platform called CACIE CONNECT. This initiative aims to forge new partnerships among institutions, promoting exchanges in joint degree programs, vocational training, and student mobility.

The conference not only served as a networking hub but also as a source of knowledge dissemination. Over 25 major education reports were released, providing insights into various educational methodologies and the state of global education. Furthermore, the signing of 42 cooperation agreements marked a significant step towards practical educational collaboration across regions.

This year, New Zealand was prominently featured as the Country of Honor at CACIE 2025, reinforcing the longstanding educational relationship between New Zealand and China. New Zealand's Minister for Universities, Shane Reti, emphasized the importance of education in strengthening bilateral ties, stating that this collaboration is built upon mutual benefits like student exchange and joint research initiatives.

Reti remarked, "This visit builds on positive momentum from Prime Minister Christopher Luxon's visit to China in June and presents an opportunity to deepen our educational collaborations to benefit both our nations."
