Valley Beth Shalom's Charity Concert: A Musical Adventure



On February 2nd, 2025, at 4 PM, Valley Beth Shalom (VBS), one of the largest Conservative synagogues in North America, will host a special concert titled "A Whole New World of Broadway". This musical event aims to support those affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles by directing a portion of the proceeds to the VBS Wildfire Relief Firefighters Fund.

A Community United in Difficult Times


In light of the uncertain times, where many in Los Angeles have faced significant challenges due to devastating wildfires, VBS continues to play a crucial role in community support. This concert offers a chance for individuals and families who have been impacted, as well as first responders who have tirelessly worked during this crisis, to come together, find solace, and enjoy an afternoon of uplifting music.

Enchanting Performance by Renowned Cantors


The concert will feature renowned cantors Jacqueline Rafii and Phil Baron, alongside their colleagues from Los Angeles' vibrant cantorial community. This enchanting performance will deliver a mix of beloved Disney classics and Broadway hits, captivating audiences of all ages. Expect an exquisite experience that combines powerful vocals from some of the best cantors in the region, along with the participation of VBS’s own Youth Choir.

The VBS concert will provide an immersive journey adorned with stunning visuals on 9-foot LED screens, alongside state-of-the-art sound in the synagogue's newly renovated Niznick Sanctuary. This unique setting will heighten the concert experience, making it a memorable event for the community.

Ticket Details


Tickets for the concert are reasonably priced, starting at $36 per person, with a 50% discount for children aged 12 and under, and free entry for children aged 5 and under.
