The SIGNAL Gallery in Tokyo's Toranomon, operated by SIGNING Inc., is currently hosting the exhibition 'THE 9 PASSPORTS: Landscapes of Small Innovations'. To celebrate the final week of this exhibition, an exciting series of three consecutive events will take place, drawing inspiration from the themes showcased in the exhibition.

Event Overview


Held from August 27 to August 29, the special events will focus on various cities and topics, inviting guest speakers and offering attendees an opportunity to immerse themselves in the dynamic interaction of city, culture, and community. Each night will be a unique experience, starting with a talk focusing on the outstanding city of Copenhagen, which ranked number one in The Economist's "World's Most Livable Cities".

Night 1: Well-being and Life-Centered Design in Copenhagen (August 27)

The first event on August 27 will delve into the captivating design principles that underpin Copenhagen's well-being. This talk session features two prominent guests: Mai Shininai, Chief of Brand and Communication at Louis Poulsen Japan, and Kenji Nakamura, an Urban Strategist from Yomiuri Advertising, who has experience with the consulting firm Gehl, renowned for urban design strategies. They will explore Copenhagen’s reputation for environmental sustainability and high quality of life, discussing the harmony between product design and urban strategy.

Food designer Humi Hosokawa will guide guests through a sensory dining adventure, offering dishes that challenge the traditional perceptions of taste and presentation, making for an unforgettable evening dedicated to personal exploration through food.
