Lafayette Christian Academy Partners with Sustainability Leaders to Revamp Softball Facilities
Lafayette Christian Academy Revamps Softball Facilities with Sustainability Partners
Lafayette Christian Academy is taking a significant step towards modernizing its athletic facilities through a new partnership with Sustainability Partners, a Public Benefit Company known for its innovative approach to sustainable infrastructure. The partnership focuses on upgrading the softball and baseball facilities at the academy, integrating eco-friendly solutions that promise to enhance both functionality and aesthetics.
The ambitious project includes the installation of a cutting-edge turf field designed specifically for the softball program, along with new energy-efficient lighting for both the softball and baseball fields. These upgrades are expected not only to improve the experience for players and fans alike but also reflect the academy's commitment to environmental stewardship and community involvement.
Sterling Miller, the CFO of Lafayette Christian Academy, emphasized the importance of this initiative by stating, "Sustainability Partners has been an incredible ally in helping us bring our vision for modern, sustainable athletic facilities to life. This project not only enhances the experience for our student-athletes and fans but also reflects our commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement."
The transformation is set to yield a state-of-the-art venue that will attract more fans and provide a well-maintained alternative to traditional grass fields. The updates are also designed to encourage greater use by local youth teams, extending the benefits of the facility beyond just Lafayette Christian Academy’s students and faculty.
This latest initiative builds upon a successful collaboration between the academy and Sustainability Partners, which previously worked together to enhance the school's football stadium. The history of joint efforts serves as a solid foundation for the current upgrades, showcasing their proven track record in improving sports facilities.
"Lafayette Christian Academy is special, and they have an important mission in educating future leaders of our society. Our investment helps the LCA team deliver on their mission. Sustainability Partners can help private schools like LCA make the upgrades they need to drive enrollment and provide an optimal experience for students and visitors while preserving capital," explained Jason Hewitt, managing partner of infrastructure for Sustainability Partners.
Construction work on the softball field is already in progress, having commenced in September, with completion expected by the end of January 2026. This timeline is strategically designed to allow the student-athletes to enjoy the improved playing conditions right from the start of the spring season.
